TikTok Creator Receives Backlash After Sharing Disney Parks Hack

Via InsideTheMagic.net

With more and more people creating content related to Disney Parks across all sorts of platforms, it’s no wonder everyone wants to get the latest scoop or come up with the best tips for their audience.

However, one content creator recently received a response quite different from what she would have expected on one of her videos.

Bethy Hamilton (@bethyhamilton) recently shared on TikTok a Disney World tip “no one wants to tell you because it’s that good.” In her video, she mentions how she always wants a snack at the end of the night and explains that Guests can place mobile orders at select locations to be picked up even after official Park closing hours, which is perfect for satisfying those late-night cravings.

And although this is acceptable and authorized by Disney, many viewers were surprisingly unhappy with this hack. Some commented that Bethy shouldn’t be posting this information, as Guests would take advantage and force Cast Members to work extra hours, while others shared that doing this was plain rude in their opinion. One Cast Member even mentioned that seeing the number of comments worried about Disney’s Cast Members warmed her heart.

However, Bethy and other Cast Members, both former and current, assured that Cast Members are already scheduled past closing and that, contrary to what many viewers initially thought, making use of this tip would not cause anyone to stay extra hours. Quite the contrary, it would allow Guests to enjoy an almost empty Park and a delicious snack to end their day.

With over 45 thousand views on this video, we’re sure more Guests will put this Disney World tip to the test, resting assured that Cast Members will not have to work extra hours to accommodate Guests’ late-night cravings.

Marvel Officially Scraps “Black Widow”

Marvel confirms the Black Widow series will be scrapped, bringing the project to an untimely end.

Black Widow is one of the most recognizable parts of the Marvel Universe and the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The Avenger first appeared in Kevin Feige’s MCU in Iron Man 2 (2010) alongside Robert Downey Jr. (Tony Stark/Iron Man), where Scarlett Johansson originated the character for the blockbuster movie franchise as an undercover S.H.I.E.L.D agent working for Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson).

Natasha Romanoff’s time was seemingly up after last year’s Black Widow (2021), from director Cate Shortland, which acted as a solo sequel to Chris Evans’ (Steve Rogers/Captain America) Captain America: Civil War (2016) and a precursor to the tragic events of the Russo Brothers’ Infinity Saga conclusion, Avengers: Infinity War (2018) and Avengers: Endgame (2019). The latter Marvel film saw Natasha sacrifice herself for the Soul Stone on Vormir during an intense sequence with Jeremy Renner’s Clint Barton/Hawkeye.

Johansson’s much-awaited solo installment in Marvel Phase Four faced multiple delays due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, ultimately releasing last July in movie theaters and on Disney+ simultaneously from the Marvel studio — a move that forced the Marvel actress to sue The Walt Disney Company due to contractual agreements allegedly being broken regarding box office receipts and the star’s salary.

However, before Shortland’s spy-thriller, which introduced characters like Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh), Alexei Shostakov/Red Guardian (David Harbour), Melina Vostokoff (Rachel Weisz), and Rick Mason (O-T Fagbenle), the Marvel Universe also began its new “Black Widow” run in 2020.

Marvel Comics began its new comic book series, “Black Widow” in 2020, but after 15 issues, Marvel is pulling the plug on this fan-acclaimed outing from the former Red Room assassin. On its announcement back in 2020, Marvel said: “Eisner-nominated writer Kelly Thompson (CAPTAIN MARVEL, STAR) and rising star artist Elena Casagrande (Catwoman) launch a new BLACK WIDOW series that changes everything!”

Now, the series that was set to “change everything” has been canceled. Thompson released a statement to Substack announcing the news. Her statement reads (via ScreenRant):

So, this IS the final issue…for now. I’m sorry I haven’t been able to talk about it, a lot of you have been asking, and it has deeply pained me to take a pass on those questions, especially since this is a book I love so much (maybe my favorite book I’ve ever done at Marvel), but there’s a lot of stuff that happens behind the scenes and it’s not always something you can talk about publicly. To be honest, I still can’t talk about as much as I’d like, but what I can say is… there ARE plans for a bit more story from this creative team. Things are still being wrangled, but I am optimistic it will work out AND be worth the wait.

And the emotional Editor’s Note in “Black Widow #15” says:

Our legendary run is ending for now. We could not be more grateful to the collaborators who made this book extraordinary and the fans who picked up our book month and month. From the very first day 1 sat down next to Kelly at an editorial retreat and said “so what about Black Widow” to the day we got Elisabetta D’Amico on board to ink Elena’s pencils, I’ve known we had a special book on our hands. We’ve become a close-knit group, and it’s a bittersweet feeling to see our collective work realized here.

Disney Removes Expedition Everest Reopening Date From Website

For months, Guests visiting Animal Kingdom at Walt Disney World Resort have been unable to ride one of the most popular attractions in the theme park. Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden Mountain has been closed since early January as it undergoes a major, lengthy refurbishment. When it first announced the closure, Disney shared that Expedition Everest would be closed for several months, reopening in mid-April.

It looks like that is no longer the case.

The Walt Disney World website recently removed any mention of a reopening date. Instead of saying that the attraction will reopen in mid-April, the site now simply reads, “Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden Mountain is currently closed for refurbishment. Please check back here for updates.” The Walt Disney World Resort calendar currently runs through June 7 and there are no times listed for the ride.

Expedition Everest

Haven’t yet experienced Expedition Everest? Here’s more information on the thrilling Disney Park attraction that takes riders deep into the Himalayas.

Wander into a Tibetan village at the base of Mount Everest and board a train to the “top of the world.” Beware: Some say a legendary snow monster lives deep in the mountain.

After a steep ascent, your train picks up speed and races into the darkness. Without warning, a broken and twisted track appears in front of you. Brace yourself as you plummet backward into total darkness. Inside the cavern, the mythical tale comes true as you see the shadow of a massive, growling beast!

Race to escape the cursed mountain—before the Yeti claims another expedition.

Expedition Everest

While Expedition Everest may be closed, there are still a number of other fun rides and attractions you can experience during your Animal Kingdom trip — including Flight of Passage, Kilimanjaro Safaris, “It’s Tough to Be a Bug”, and Dinosaur. There are also a ton of great places to stop and get your foodie fix, like Flame Tree BBQ, Tiffins, and Satu’li Canteen.

Watch the Disney Wish’s Epic Journey to the North Sea!

Last week, the Disney Wish celebrated its latest milestone, which means we are one step closer to the ship’s delivery. Today, we’re taking a journey from the Meyer Werft shipyard in Germany to the North Sea, where the Disney Wish entered open water for the first time.

It took about 24 hours to complete the trip on the River Ems – traveling a distance of 26 miles at the slow and steady pace of two knots. The voyage included navigating locks, drawbridges and tight clearings along the way. Watch the video below to see the action!

This shipbuilding milestone involved great teamwork, precision and attention to detail. The conditions have to be just right to sail the River Ems (including – believe it or not – a full moon to raise the tides for the ship to clear the river’s depth). That’s not the only factor. The ship must travel backwards, stern-first! Our stern character, Rapunzel, led us fearlessly to the Disney Wish’s new destination.

Not only is this an important tradition for the shipyard and the Walt Disney Imagineering Germany team, it is special to locals in the Papenburg and Leer area. The occasion brought out many marveling spectators along the route. Families even got to wave to some special friends!

Now that the Disney Wish has arrived in Eemshaven, Netherlands, we will begin a series of tests known as sea trials. Before we know it, summer will be here and we will be welcoming Guests aboard the Disney Wish to experience their favorite Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars stories like never before.

‘Disneyland Forever’ Fireworks Spectacular Returns to Disneyland Park April 22

We’re counting down the days until we “ignite the night” once again at the Disneyland Resort, with the return of three beloved nighttime spectaculars. T-minus fourteen days!

In addition to “World of Color” at Disney California Adventure Park and “Main Street Electrical Parade” at Disneyland Park returning on April 22, 2022, “Disneyland Forever” fireworks spectacular also will debut at Disneyland Park on this day.

“Disneyland Forever” fireworks is a street-to-sky celebration filled with sparkling pyrotechnics and immersive projections that envelop our Guests in a breathtaking journey with surprising special effects. This beloved spectacular – which originally debuted in 2015 for the 60th Anniversary Diamond Celebration – transports Guests from an Anaheim orange grove into the worlds of timeless Disney and Pixar stories. “Disneyland Forever” also features two original songs: the theme “Live the Magic” and the inspiring closing song “Kiss Goodnight,” written by Disney Legend Richard M. Sherman.

Upon its return, there are many places around Disneyland Park where Guests can enjoy “Disneyland Forever.” Whether they choose to watch on Main Street, U.S.A., in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle, near “it’s a small world,” or around the Rivers of America, each location has a different, exciting and immersive experience of the show, as each location bursts to life with colors, projections, and pyrotechnics. The multi-dimensional aspect of the show allows Guests to discover new surprises depending on which location they choose!

As a reminder, when “Disneyland Forever” fireworks return on April 22, it will run weekends only (Friday through Sunday). “Mickey’s Mix Magic” will present its high-energy, projections-only show during the week (Monday through Thursday) until late spring. At that time, “Disneyland Forever” fireworks will then run nightly in the summer.
