Disney Guest Sticks Arm Under “it’s a small world” Boat

If you’ve ever been to Walt Disney World Resort or Disneyland Resort chances are you understand at least the core basic rules. One of these rules… keep your hands, arms, feet, and legs INSIDE the attraction vehicle at all times. In this case, one Disney Guest broke this most basic rule.

When you follow Disney bloggers closely, it’s not uncommon to see things posted that make you go, “WHAT?” For example, just recently, we shared an angry Guest having a total and complete meltdown over a Cast Member moving her stroller. We’ve also seen a young Guest decide to get out of a Splash Mountain boat. And let’s not forget about the woman that jumped out of the Living With the Land boat for a cucumber!

Over at Disneyland Resort, someone made the decision to stick their arm under the boat while on the nostalgic “it’s a small world” attraction. Take note that it has been deemed very dangerous to put any body parts below a moving Disney boat or vehicle. The attractions are sometimes on tracks and yes, you can lose a finger or more if you’re not careful. If you don’t hurt yourself under the boat, you could also get your arm crushed against the wall.

it's a small world holiday

We aren’t sure if it was the “it’s a small world” song that got to this Disney Guest or just poor judgment, but @kellykoby took to TikTok to share a viral video. She notes, “It’s not that hard to follow the rules #disney #disneyland #wdw #disneyparks #itsasmallworld #nobigdeal #why”. The video now has over 44,00 views with comments to follow. Check out the video below or find it here:

Thankfully, the man continues to enjoy his Disney vacation and pulls his arm out without any problems. But, the comments on this video are as entertaining as one would expect.

One comment makes Little Mermaid jokes with, “His hand went under the sea” with another saying “He’s talking some Disney magic with him.” One commenter relates to the situation with “I’ve done that on pirates of the Caribbean and a lady came on the intercom I was cracking up and fully embarrassed.”

Marvel ‘Moon Knight’ Star Dead at 37 After Skiing Accident

37-year-old Gaspard Ulliel, who was slated to play Midnight Man in the new Marvel series Moon Knight has died after a skiing accident. Ulliel is a well-known French actor who has appeared in a number of films, including A Very Long Engagement, Sybil, To The Ends of the World, and Eva. Marvel’s Moon Knight was considered the actor’s big break into the American television scene.

Ulliel’s parents reported the actor’s death on Wednesday, January 19, one day after his accident. According to the BBC, which reported on the tragedy, the actor collided with another person.

Per BBC

His family told news agency AFP he died on Wednesday following a skiing accident in the Alps.

Ulliel, one of France’s best-known actors, has appeared in It’s Only the End of the World and Saint Laurent, the biopic of the French fashion designer.

The actor was skiing in the Savoie region on Tuesday when he collided with another person.

He suffered severe brain trauma and was airlifted to a hospital in Grenoble, where he died the next day.

The other skier was not hospitalized and an investigation is now under way.

The actor’s death comes just one day after Marvel released the trailer for Moon Knight. Moon Knight is not the first Marvel show to gain a lot of attention in recent years. During the pandemic, Marvel released a number of shows on Disney+ that were loved by millions — including WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and Loki.

Here is more information on Moon Knight — which is scheduled to premiere on March 30.

Moon Knight follows Steven Grant, a mild-mannered gift-shop employee, who becomes plagued with blackouts and memories of another life. Steven discovers he has dissociative identity disorder and shares a body with mercenary Marc Spector. As Steven/Marc’s enemies converge upon them, they must navigate their complex identities while thrust into a deadly mystery among the powerful gods of Egypt.

Angry Guest Makes a Scene Over Stroller at Magic Kingdom

If you’ve ever visited a Disney Park with children, chances are you are well aware that at times the Disney experience can be extremely stressful. With crowds everywhere, sweets galore, juggling the Disney Genie, and the excitement of attractions around every corner, some children react with melt-downs to the experience. Or… in this case… a grown woman.

When visiting Walt Disney World Resort with children young enough to be in strollers, you’ll want to be aware of Disney’s rules for using strollers at the Disney Parks. There are select places throughout the Park known as “Stroller Parking”. There are plenty of signs and Cast Members assigned to these areas. Especially at Magic Kingdom, you’ll find the need to ditch your stroller multiple times as young children can enjoy several Magic Kingdom rides.

Once you put your stroller into stroller parking, chances are it will be moved up or down the rows as needed. The Cast Member assigned to the area is responsible for alleviating stroller traffic jams and filling in all the parking holes as needed. It’s not uncommon when one stroller leaves its parking spot, Cast Members may shift the strollers in the row down to fill in the hole. This means when your ride is finished and you’re ready to go, you may have to hunt a little for your stroller.

Stroller Parking

Or, say you don’t follow the stroller parking signs and put your stroller wherever you’d like. In this case, a Cast Member will likely find your stroller and move it into a stroller parking space nearby. If Cast Members didn’t do this, there would be strollers sitting around the Parks in all sorts of random places.

Well, this Disney Guest, unfortunately, was not thrilled a Cast Member moved her stroller. She decided to make a scene in the middle of Fantasyland which looks like it is near Peter Pan’s Flight and “it’s a small world”. It seemed like her goal was to yell loud enough to make sure everyone was aware of just how unhappy she was.

Stroller sign

The video went viral on TikTok when @maddieisraddie posted the video noting, “karen has MASSIVE freakout at disneyworld #karen #disneyworld #karensoftiktok”. TikTok fans comment in support of the Cast Member with how over the top this Disney Guest acted when her stroller was moved. Check out the video below, or find it here:

With young kids, we’ve had our stroller shifted within the stroller parking lots several times and it does take a minute to find yours if it’s not a stroller that stands out in color (or has a balloon tied to it). But, with that said, while it may cause a moment of “where is it?”… it’s in no way something to panic or have a meltdown over.

The best part is that comments to the video are flooding in with support for “Shawn”, the Cast Member. One comment notes, “If someone knows Shawn please let me know, I’d like to buy him dinner! 100% serious.” Another comment says, “She’s filming him as if she’s the one in the right.” Plus more love for Shawn is shared with “We love Shawn” and “Shawn is a saint.”

Stroller Parking

While we don’t have confirmation from Disney on what happened to the angry Disney Guest, one comment to the video claims, “From what I understand she was caught by security and declared trespassed which means she and her family is banned for life from ALL Disney Parks.”

An Ending to The Figment Drawing on Ebay Story

This Figment popcorn bucket craze is interesting, to say the least. The adorable little lavender-colored popcorn bucket is made in the likeness of the lovable Figment character from EPCOT’s Journey into Imagination attraction.

Guests at EPCOT on Friday when the International Festival of the Arts opened waited in line for as long as six hours to have the chance to purchase one. Or two. Or several. Figment immediately started popping up on resale sites like eBay, Mercari, and Poshmark, and for prices sometimes 8 times what he was going for in the parks.

Some Guests even set up shop at EPCOT and sold the buckets to other Guests. And then there were some who chose to share a bit of that Disney magic and Figment imagination with others, like a man who waited in line for 4 hours, bought 2 Figment buckets, and then gave them away–one to his mom for her birthday and one to a total stranger standing at the end of the line for the chance to purchase her own.

Then the Figment buckets began to show up on eBay, but rather than plastic, they were paper. A bit of Disney humor made its rounds on the eBay platform as sellers posted drawings of the wildly popular buckets. Fans could bid on drawings of the buckets, and the proceeds would be directed to charities.

In one particular case of a drawing listed on eBay, 90% of the proceeds were to be directed to Habitat for Humanity. Seller juliaki1 listed a drawing of the Figment bucket and noted in the title of the listing that the drawing wasn’t great: it was listed as a “Bad Artwork Sketch” of the bucket. The seller even promised a bag of microwavable popcorn with the drawing because, as she posted, “what is sadder than a popcorn bucket without popcorn?”

But the seller, Julia, became suspicious of the bids. The bidding was ended, and the listing was closed when the winning bid reached an unbelievable $10,000. She was hopeful, though, that the bids would be legitimate, and if so, it was her goal that the seller go through eBay to make the donation to Habitat for Humanity.

As it turns out, however, Julia’s suspicions were correct. She tweeted about the scenario with a lengthy post that detailed the events of her Figment drawing scenario.

Julia tweeted that she had an idea after learning that the highest bidder had placed bids unintentionally, especially since she wanted Habitat for Humanity to benefit.

Julia started a bidding event of sorts today to benefit Habitat for Humanity. She will photocopy the original drawing–making 100 copies in all (keeping one copy for herself). She will mix up the copies and include the original so that it’s a complete surprise about which buyer will receive the real drawing!

“On Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at 12 PM ET, I’ll be listing an item on eBay of the bad Figment sketch artwork with a buy-it-now price of $10. Like the original listing, 90% will go to Habitat for Humanity,” Julia tweeted.

It sounds like a win-win for fans and for Habitat for Humanity as well!

But Julia is taking it up another level: she’s creating a logo for offerings at TeePublic.com with the phrase “Anything is Art if You Use Your Imagination!” She’s setting it up so that 50% of the profits for 2022 will be donated to World Central Kitchen. Julia said the guaranteed donation will be $100.

We are happy to announce that Julia’s listing is doing well, and as of the time of this post, the listing has made $270 for Habitat for Humanity! If you want to get in on–as Julia calls it–a piece of internet history, while making a contribution to a worthy cause, you can view her listing here.
