Peppermint Marshmallow Wands Recipe from Marceline’s Confectionary

No matter what time of year, you can’t go wrong with peppermint! Disney has shared the recipe for Peppermint Marshmallow Wands, which can be found at Marceline’s Confectionery located at Downtown Disney District at the Disneyland Resort.

From Disney Cast Member;

Holidays are truly sweet at Marceline’s Confectionery, a delightful candy shop named after the small Missouri town where Walt lived as a boy, located at Downtown Disney District at the Disneyland Resort.

The talented candy makers have been busy dipping apples, crisped rice cereal treats, and marshmallows into warm chocolate, with some confections getting a second dip into creamy caramel. The candy makers then artfully embellish with holiday candies to create adorable treats almost too cute to eat!

As a sweet gift to our readers, we asked the candy makers to give us their recipe for Peppermint Marshmallow Wands, an easy (and yummy) holiday recipe the entire family can make and enjoy at home.

Big Snowfall Hits Disney Park

If you are visiting Walt Disney World Resort, you are likely not going to see much snow hit the ground, unless it is combined with soap. But, there are other Disney Parks around the world that do have snow hit, and as long as there is not a snowstorm involved, it is quite stunning.

Recently, we reported that Disneyland Paris saw its first official snowfall of the season, but the snow was very light and barely made an appearance on the facades of attractions. Now that the snow has had some time to come into its own, we are starting to see a gorgeous snow-filled Disneyland Park!

Alea (@aleacabri) took to Twitter to share some photos of Disneyland Paris with a hefty amount of snow, and it looks stunning. Alea mentioned, the images do look like they are right out of a storybook, which is very fitting considering Guests who are seeing the views are entering world of fantasy.

At Disneyland Paris this year, Guests can enjoy Disney’s Enchanted Christmas. The event is filled with “sparkling decorations, Disney Characters dressed in their finest seasonal outfits and a breathtaking new parade bring magical merry moments in a picture perfect Christmas card scene.” You can watch a preview of what to expect below!

Splash Mountain Water Effect Remains Broken

Via InsideTheMagic

At Walt Disney World Resort, one of the reasons that Guests love all of the theme parks is for the amazing attractions that are fluttered with immense details and amazing technology. But because there is so much going on, that means there is more of a chance that something may go wrong.

With so many moving parts on each attraction, it is so easy for some aspects to sometimes not function correctly. Typically, this means something very small is missing, but instead of closing the attraction, Disney just allows it to run for the day and will fix it later. A lot of the time, this could mean an animatronic not making a specific movement, but for a Guest who has never been on the attraction, they would likely never notice.

At Magic Kingdom, Splash Mountain has a ton of animatronics, and is getting ready to eventually turn into a Princess and the Frog-based attraction. Until Disney announces that closure, however, Guests can continue to watch Br’er Rabbit and his adventures. During one of the scenes in the Laughing Place, Guests typically go under jumping water fountains that are shooting up from lily pads rock formations, but we have noticed that for the past few months, they have never been functioning while we ride.

There is a chance that this issue has not lasted months, but from our experience, it seems very possible that it might have. Earlier this year, in January, we saw the water effect working, but since the summer we have never seen it work while riding. Disney does turn off specific water effects depending on the cool temperatures to ensure that Guests are not soaking. Still, this feature left Guests very dry and was purely for aesthetic, so it would not fall under that category.

One speculation could be that the water effect needs maintenance, but since the ride will be changed over eventually, Disney may be waiting for that big refurbishment to make the adjustment. For now, we will have to wait and see what comes of the fun jumping water scene in Splash Mountain!
