NEW Walt Disney World Annual Pass Tiers Available Next Month

Big news coming out of Walt Disney World this morning to kick off the week! When COVID hit, Disney put a hold on Annual Pass sales. If you were a current Annual Passholder, you could renew your Annual Pass, but new Annual Pass sales were on hold. Disney recently shared Walt Disney World Annual Passes will once again be available for purchase soon but did not mention a date or if the Passholder program would be changing at all. We are now learning new Annual Passes will go on sale next month – plus, the Passholder program is receiving new Annual Pass tiers. All of this is unfolding just in time for Disney’s 50th Anniversary!

As shared by Disney: “We are introducing four new Annual Passes offering the flexibility and choice to meet guest needs, each designed based on Passholder feedback. These passes will help our biggest fans experience all that’s to come during “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” – from new attractions and nighttime spectaculars to dazzling decorations at all four theme parks and more!”

What’s New: Here are some highlights of the new Annual Passes:

  • Hold More Park Reservations: Depending on their pass type, Passholders may now hold up to five Disney Park Pass reservations at a time. We’ll also be adding “bonus reservations” to the calendar from time to time, so Passholders can make an additional park reservation without it counting against their applicable reservation hold limit. Plus, when Passholders stay at Disney Resort hotels or other select hotels, they will also be eligible to make theme park reservations for each day of their stay – in addition to the reservations you can hold based on your pass type!
  • Customize Your Pass: Choose different add-on options based on your preferences – from the Water Park and Sports option to Disney PhotoPass downloads. These add-on options will be available for purchase with any of our four new passes.
  • Access a New Integrated Calendar: Planning will be easier with enhancements to our reservation system, including a new integrated calendar that lets Passholders quickly see blockout dates for each pass type, view available days and make, modify or cancel a reservation all in one place.
  • Enjoy Passholder Perks: Passes will continue to offerbenefits you know and love including the Park Hopper option, standard theme park parking and discounts on merchandise and dining. And, there will be a few special surprises throughout the 50th anniversary celebration!
  • Pass options will be available beginning Sept. 8, 2021.

Disney is also introducing a new look for the Annual Passholder program to honor the past while looking forward to the future. Using a piece of the original Walt Disney World Resort logo as a foundation for bright colors and energetic design, the program’s new look puts Passholders right in the middle of the magic.

Disney Cruise Line Reveals Splashtacular New Adventure on AquaMouse, First Disney Attraction at Sea

The Disney Wish, the 5th Disney Cruise Line ship coming in summer 2020, will debut the AquaMouse, a brand-new family water attraction that will bring to life the adventures of “The Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse” animated shorts like never before. New details have been released and we’re so excited.

From a Disney Cast Member;

If you’re planning a cruise aboard the Disney Wish next summer, you might want to pack your snow gear. We’re headed to the Alps!

When we announced the Disney Wish a few months ago, we introduced you to AquaMouse, the first-ever Disney attraction at sea. We even shared details about the ride’s original show “Scuba Scramble” — inspired by “The Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse” animated shorts —which will immerse guests in a hilarious underwater adventure with Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse through show scenes and special effects.

If you thought that sounded cool, just wait until you hear this… I’m excited to share that our guests are in for double the fun aboard AquaMouse, because we’ve developed not one, but two brand-new original animated adventures to experience on this wild water ride!

Our second show is “Swiss Meltdown,” where Mickey and Minnie will invite you on a mountain sledding excursion that will inevitably (and hilariously) go awry. When the sun comes out and the snow begins to melt, you’ll be off on a frantic dash to the mountaintop while trying to avoid obstacles like avalanches, leaky rock walls and waterfalls — oh, boy! The story is inspired by one of the Emmy Award-winning “Mickey Mouse” shorts, “Yodelberg,” and composer Christopher Willis adapted his iconic score from the episode for the attraction.

There are many fun Disney easter eggs to catch during a ride on AquaMouse, such as an appearance by the abominable snowman from the Disneyland attraction Matterhorn Bobsleds. One of my favorite details is that Chip and Dale are hiding in each show, hitchhiking their way to Disney’s private island of Castaway Cay. Good luck trying to spot them amid the 60-plus water blasters, misters and pop jets that you’ll encounter along the way!

Now here’s a special treat: a first look at the posters for both fun-filled excursions! These will be showcased in the attraction queue to let our guests know which adventure is being featured each day of their voyage.

La Crêperie de Paris Menu – Coming Soon to the France Pavilion in EPCOT

We’re just over a month away from a delicious new restaurant, La Crêperie de Paris, opening on October 1, 2021 in the newly expanded France pavilion in EPCOT. The restaurant will offer both table- and quick-service options. Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, the restaurant, and the pavilion expansion are all part of the historic transformation of EPCOT currently underway.

When the newly expanded France pavilion at EPCOT debuts on October 1, helping kick-off “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” in honor of the 50th Anniversary of Walt Disney World Resort, you’ll be immersed in some of France’s signature sights, sounds, smells, and – of course! – tastes. One of the most delicious offerings, La Crêperie de Paris, is a traditional crêperie with a menu inspired by the Brittany region of France. The table- and quick-service restaurant, where everything is made from scratch and to order, will serve savory galettes and sweet dessert crêpes, along with some of Brittany’s famous hard ciders. Read on to learn all about the menu!

Like all galettes and crêpes from Brittany, La Crêperie de Paris will serve them very thin. The galettes will be cooked at a high temperature, allowing the outside to become crispy and crunchy, surrounding an irresistible array of fillings. The gluten-friendly savory galettes will be made with buckwheat imported exclusively from France and will feature classic fillings with some unique twists. Perhaps the best-known combination – and perfect for breakfast, lunch, or dinner – is the Classique that includes ham, eggs, and Swiss cheese. Perfect for any vegetarian diner and inspired by the “Little Chef” himself, The Ratatouille is filled with tomato, zucchini, and eggplant.

The sweet crêpes are also thin, crispy, and made from scratch. From the traditional Gourmande, filled with house-made hazelnut chocolate spread, to the Pomme, filled with caramelized apples and caramel beurre salé, the dessert crêpes are guaranteed to satisfy everyone’s sweet tooth. You can even top these decadent delights with house-made ice cream!

To round out the authentic French experience, La Crêperie de Paris will serve traditional Brittany hard ciders that pair perfectly with both savory galettes and sweet crêpes. From the sweet doux to the less sweet brut and demi sec, the hard ciders are imported from France and made only with apples that Brittany is known for.

The restaurant will also offer a daily prix fixe menu that includes a choice of soup or a salad, one savory galette, one dessert crêpe, and a glass of hard cider, soda or juice. The full menu of savory and sweet crêpes features:
