“Free Shirt Hack” Goes Viral As Guests Get Free Disney Shirts For Dressing Inappropriately

Via DisneyFanatic.com

If you’re on TikTok, chances are you’ve seen the “Free Shirt Hack” going viral. Two guests have recently dressed inappropriately at Walt Disney World parks and have been provided free shirts from Disney to so they adhere to the guest dress code.

According to the Walt Disney World website, Disney’s dress code states: “Inappropriate Attire: Disney reserves the right to deny admission to or remove any person wearing attire that is considered inappropriate or attire that could detract from the experience of other Guests. Attire that is not appropriate for the parks—and which may result in refusal of admittance.” The dress code goes on to state specifically: “Clothing which, by nature, exposes excessive portions of the skin that may be viewed as inappropriate for a family environment.”

But, it looks like instead of being denied admission, these two Disney goers received free Disney shirts. First up, Amanda @amandaaadimeo shared a video via TikTok that went viral back in May. She wore a top that showed too much at Magic Kingdom and Disney gave her a $75 spirit jersey for free so she could be in adherence with the dress code:

While we first thought, ok, this is just a one time thing… another TikToker posted this month that “it’s true guys…” She too received a free shirt while at EPCOT for dressing inappropriately. Here’s the video from Alyssa @alyssaschueller:

Do you think this viral “Free Shirt Hack” will go away on its own, or will Disney need to start denying admission like their dress code states?

Daughter of Carrie Fisher Visits Disneyland

It’s hard to believe it has been almost 5 years since the Princess of Star Wars has passed away. Carrie Fisher will forever be a Star Wars legend for her role as Princess Leia. Her daughter, Billie Lourd, recently visited Disneyland. She rode the popular Star Wars: Rise of Resistance attraction and honored her Mom with a special headband.

As reported by People: “Billie Lourd channeled her late mother Carrie Fisher during a recent day at Disneyland. The actress, 28, shared footage on Friday from a trip to the Anaheim park with friends. She spent time at Galaxy’s Edge and riding Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, while also giving a nod to Fisher and her character in the sci-fi franchise by donning Princess Leia mouse ears for the outing. Lourd called the Star Wars attraction the “best ride ever,” but followed up by adding that Soarin’ is “a close second.”

Billie looks like she’s having a blast! The Princess Leia Ear Headband by Ashley Eckstein were limited release ears that cost close to $80.

Billie Lourd followed in her mother’s steps and became an actress herself. She’s starred in Scream Queens (2015–2016) and American Horror Story (2017–present). She’s also made Star Wars appearances as Lieutenant Connix in the Star Wars sequel trilogy (2015–2019). It sounds like she spent the perfect day at Disneyland, while honoring her mother, a Star Wars legend.

Special Thanks to Two Exceptional Cast Members

Jeff Vahle, the President of Walt Disney World Resort, took to social media to share a special thanks to two exceptional Cast Members that we have personally enjoyed following along with on social media over the the past year plus. While last year was probably one of the most difficult for Cast Members in all of Disney’s history, this Ambassador duo was a breath of fresh air, and kept us all smiling!

As shared by @jeffvahle Instagram: “Before we announce the 2022-2023 Walt Disney World Ambassador team next week, I want to give Marilyn West and Stephen Lim my heartfelt thanks. They helped open so many new experiences, from Gran Destino Tower and Disney Skyliner, to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway; they supported the Central Florida community and Disney VoluntEARS; and their never-ending enthusiasm for our Cast Members shines through in all they do! Marilyn and Stephen’s optimism and positivity was especially needed during the difficult times of the last year, and I’m so proud of them for that. They truly embody the spirit of our Cast and this resort, and will continue to do so as they help our new Ambassadors learn the ropes. On behalf of everyone here at Walt Disney World, THANK YOU!”

Disney Refills Previously Sold Out Boo Bash Dates

With “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” and new Disney After Hours Boo Bash taking place, guests are flocking to Magic Kingdom. It seems Disney fans are ready to enjoy all the spooks and treats Disney can dish out. Tickets are now on sale for the Disney After Hours Boo Bash special ticketed event. While we previously shared dates were selling out fast, it seems Disney has decided to refill the previously sold out dates. Disney is however still saying we can expect shorter wait times.

On June 23, there were 12 sold out Disney After Hours Boo Bash party dates including: August 10, September 21, September 24, October 5, October 8, October 12, October 15, October 19, October 22, October 26, October 29, and October 31. As of right now, on June 26, there are only four sold out Boo Bash dates including August 10, August 17, October 5, and October 31.

We knew the event would be popular as Disney actually had to add more Disney After Hours Boo Bash dates before tickets were even being sold to the general public. We were surprised however that Disney decided to open up more tickets on previously sold out dates.

According to the website, Disney says we can expect to “Spend Less Time in Line”. “Enjoy shorter waits at over 20 Magic Kingdom attractions. Disney After Hours Boo Bash lets a limited number of Guests experience the park for an additional 3 hours after it closes. That means less waiting in line at popular experiences like Haunted Mansion and Space Mountain!”

We’re hoping with this recent refills of tickets on previously sold out dates, we can still expect the same short waits so the three hours don’t go by waiting in line. Are you planning to party at one of the Boo Bash events? You’ll find us enjoying the complimentary snacks and waving at the villainous characters! Purchase your tickets here while they are still available.
