NFL Football can’t get enough of quarterback Tom Brady. At 43 years of age, Brady still plays like he’s in his 20s. We previously shared the news that with his recent Super Bowl win for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Brady had a chance to visit Disney as part of the Super Bowl “I’m going to Disney World!” slogan. Brady visited Disney’s Hollywood Studios where he explored Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge over Easter weekend. He took to social media to share Disney’s post about his experience with a little humor to go along with it!
As shared via Tom Brady’s Twitter as shown below, Brady says: “I honestly just keep playing for the free trips to Disney World…”
News continues to unfold for EPCOT’s transformation! Disney has now announced the unveiling of a new flagship merchandise location, called Creations Shop arriving this Summer.
As shared by Disney: “Creations Shop features a bold, sleek design that creates a perfect showcase for the rich variety of items you’ll find as part of your EPCOT experience. It will be an open, bright, welcoming environment with huge glass walls that allow sunlight to pour in and make you feel like you’re in touch with nature even while indoors. We are using color, materials and light in new ways with some unique EPCOT touches that connect back to this park’s storied past while looking to the future.”
Disney goes on to share: “As you can see in this new artist concept rendering*, there’s a large mural of Mickey Mouse along one of the shop’s walls. We were inspired by Mickey as our subject for creativity – but this is Mickey like you’ve never seen him before. You’ll discover original homages to him throughout the space, including large, dynamic murals and new artist expressions that showcase the global, contemporary icon that Mickey has become for generations around the world. We are excited to feature this art program – completely original works that will live on in this space – as a testament to the park’s ability to inspire the dreamer in all of us.”
“Our goal is for Creations Shop to be more than a place to pick up a memento of your time at EPCOT – we want your every moment with us to be an experience worthy of the park’s vision and tradition. The products you’ll find here will extend Disney storytelling and allow you to bring that experience home with you, all while encouraging you to explore your own expressiveness and creativity.”
We’re excited to see the Creations Shop come to life over the next couple of months! If you’re planning your visit to EPCOT this summer, be sure to work in your plans to do a little shopping to check out the new store! We’ll keep you posted as more news unfolds on EPCOT’s transformation.
We previously shared the news that Disney has announced the opening of a new “Creations Shop” which will be the flagship merchandise location for EPCOT beginning this summer. We have also learned that the beloved Club Cool is coming back this summer in a “fresh new way”!
As shared by Disney: “Adjacent to the shop (Creations Shop) will be a revitalized Club Cool Hosted by Coca-Cola, which will also open this summer. This will celebrate Coca-Cola in a fresh new way, while keeping the fan-favorite experience that invites you to explore tasty drinks from around the world. This space will also have some new magic to bring the global experience of Coca-Cola to life for you.”
You may remember, Club Cool was a favorite store at EPCOT prior to the closures due to EPCOT’s transformation. This fan-favorite location offered complimentary sips of flavors of Coca-Cola from around the globe. Some were great, some not so much… and it was always fun to watch different family and friends try the many flavors.
We previously shared the news that Disney is paying Cast Members for four hours of work if they choose to get the COVID-19 vaccination. The President of Walt Disney World Resort, Jeff Vahle, took to social media to share photos and thanks for the WDW Health Service teams for providing Cast Members with a vaccination option.
As shared via Jeff Vahle’s Instagram: “Sending a big thanks to our amazing Walt Disney World Health Services team as they provide Cast with another option to receive a COVID-19 vaccination. We are so pleased to help Central Florida in its continued fight to beat the virus! #GetTheShot #DisneyCastLife”
With Disney now allowing guests to remove masks for outdoor photos, we’re slowly but surely seeing things begin to get back to normal. We’ll keep you posted as Disney continues to follow the changes of the CDC guidelines and adjust accordingly.
Don Muchow has become the first ever runner to run from Disneyland to Walt Disney World! Muchow started his Run Across America in Newport Beach on Saturday, Feb. 1 and reached Walt Disney World on April 5. What’s even more impressive… Muchow is a type 1 diabetic.
As shared via Muchow’s Facebook page: “First person to ever run from Disneyland to Walt Disney World ! Minds officially blown. Disney security, cast members & guests cheered as Don ran up to the entrance, loaded him down with a custom Mickey cap, balloons & more. He was greeted by the Walt Disney World park president & other leaders, assigned an official photographer & guest relations reps who took us into the park, to the front of the line on Its A Small World (our favorite ride, don’t judge) and gifted Don with a Mickey Mouse ice cream which was his only request (magical carbs but u still have to dose for them). Most important of all, met a Disney security staffer whose adult daughter has #type1diabetes and had multiple guests in the park approach and give a shoutout for their #t1d family members.”
