Airline Employee Goes ‘To Infinity & Beyond’ to Return Buzz Lightyear Toy

A sweet story is going viral, with a kind heart and Buzz Lightyear at the center of it! A little boy left behind his Buzz Lightyear toy, and a Southwest Airline employee decided he was determined to reunite the boy with his toy… with a little extra magic along the way.

As shared via Southwest Airlines Facebook page: “Hagen and his family had landed at Dallas Love Field and were already driving off in a rental car when they realized Hagen’s special buddy was left behind on the plane. By the time they noticed, the plane was already well on the way to its next destination. Eventually, the aircraft made it to Little Rock, where it was scheduled to terminate for the night. That’s where Jason, a Ramp Agent at LIT, noticed Hagen’s left-behind buddy. Jason knew someone was missing their friend badly, so he began some investigating to discover who he belonged to. Soon, a name written on the bottom of the boot caught Jason’s eye: “Hagen.” With the help of Beth, his Coheart, Jason learned there was only one “Hagen” who had traveled on that aircraft that day. Instantly, Jason came up with a plan… A few days later, Hagen and his family received a special surprise in the mail. Not only was his buddy returned, but he arrived in a hand-decorated box, complete with a letter describing his mission at Southwest Airlines, and pictures to boot. “There’s definitely not enough good in this world, and for someone to take the time out of their day to do that for strangers means the world to us.” –Ashley, Hagen’s mom. #SouthwestHeart”

Disney Artist Releases New “Wanda Mansion” Print

The very talent Brian Kesinger has released a new “Wanda Mansion” print that we simply can’t get enough of. A fun mix of the beloved Haunted Mansion attraction and the new WandaVision characters is impressive to say the least.

As noted on the Brian Kesinger website: “Wanda Mansion Print, $75.00. This print is 13×19 inches and will be hand signed. Prints are personally produced by the artist to ensure the most faithful reproduction of the original art. Printed with the Canon Pixma Pro-10 printer for exceptionally rich colors and truly archival prints that will last thanks to the printer’s 10-ink LUCIA system. This print is not matted or framed and is shipped rolled in a tube. The image will be printed smaller on the paper to allow for framing.”

Kesingers’s “About” goes on to say: “Brian Kesinger is an Annie award winning story artist, illustrator and author. His 20+ year career at Disney has spanned both hand drawn and cg animated films from Tarzan to Frozen 2. In addition to Brian’s film work, he has also become a celebrated author and illustrator of several books that showcase his style, wit and ability to tell engaging stories in original ways. His artistic journey has lead him to find an additional home with Marvel Comics and Lucasfilm where he blends his animation background with the comic art form to create dazzling and expressive art.”

EPCOT’s Harmonious Barges Fountain Testing

As we highly anticipate the arrival of EPCOT’s new nighttime spectacular, “Harmonious”, we have been in awe of the arrival of the massive barges that have been placed into Epcot’s World Showcase Lagoon. Disney recently shared the progress details as you’ll find here if you missed them. It looks like testing is moving right along as videos taken last night (March 11) show the fountains being tested.

A Disney blogger, Jonathan Twitted via @DisneyXC two short clips of the fountain testing as shown below:

Disneyland Resort Theme Parks Likely To Reopen At Higher Capacity Than Expected

In a recent announcement, California Governor Gavin Newsom said that the state was close to reaching a goal of vaccinating 2 million Californians living in underprivileged communities. Reaching this target results in it being easier for counties to move into less-restrictive tiers of California’s reopening plan. The state’s reopening plan allows for theme parks to reopen as of April 1st with 15% capacity if they are in the “red tier”.

While Orange County, the home to Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure, is on track to reach the red tier from its current, more restrictive purple tier, the vaccination benchmark makes it easier to eventually reach the even lower orange tier. The Chief Health Officer and Director of the Orange County Health Care Agency, Dr. Clayton Chau, said he expects “to have two weeks in the red tier on Tuesday and on Wednesday we’ll have an official entry into the red tier.”

If the county can move from the red tier to the orange tier, its capacity limit would increase from 15% up to 25%, allowing for nearly 2/3 more guests to enter the parks. Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure are currently expected to reopen in late April, according to The Walt Disney Company CEO Bob Chapek.

While the parks may choose to initially reopen at a capacity lower than that allowed by California’s reopening plans, the actual capacity in effect could go unannounced by The Walt Disney Company and only be shared months after the fact, as has been the case for Walt Disney World.
