Disney Cruise Line Cancels All Sailings Through May 2021

We previously reported that all Disney Cruise Line sailings have been suspended through April, with select Disney Magic and Disney Wonder sailings suspended through May 2021. This morning, Disney Cruise Line released an updated travel alert stating that all Disney Cruise Line sailings will be further suspended through May 2021, and Disney Magic sailings are now suspended through August 10, 2021.

The Canadian government announced recently that they will not allow ships with more than 100 passengers to dock in any Canadian port until February 28, 2022. This heavily affects the Disney Wonder’s Alaskan season which often ports out of Vancouver, British Columbia.

Giant LEGO Sorcerer Mickey Sculpture at Disney Springs

A brand new Sorcerer Mickey LEGO sculpture was installed outside of The LEGO Store at Disney Springs. The Sorcerer’s Apprentice is an ode to the classic Disney film, Fantasia.

Sorcerer Mickey is first seen in Disney’s Fantastia film in 1940, but has become an iconic Mickey Mouse look throughout the years. Here he proudly wears the iconic sorcerer hat and robe for the first time, but doesn’t yet know what’s in store.

The Sorcerer’s Apprentice uses his newfound magic to create a LEGO spectacle outside of the store’s entrance. He uses this magic to bring the swell of waves up and around him, just like in the film.

Ranger the White Rhino Calf Now Visible on Kilimanjaro Safaris

A four month old white rhino calf and his mother joined the herd at Kilimanjaro Safaris today. The Vice President of Disney’s Animals, Science, and Environment, Dr. Mark Penning, posted the announcement on Instagram today.

Baby Ranger is a four month old white rhino calf who was born back in October at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Ranger and his mother Kendi have joined the savanna together for the first time today, and may be seen while riding the Kilimanjaro Safaris attraction.

The White Rhino is considered to be a Near Threatened species as opposed to Endangered, and this is largely in part of conservation efforts like those at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
