New Socially-Distanced Disney Princess Greetings From the Magic Kingdom Train Station

Today marks a royal return for the Disney Princesses and Fairy Godmother as they all gathered at the Main Street Train Station to greet guests at a safe social distance. In lieu of traditional character meet and greets or stage shows, Magic Kingdom will be implementing character cavalcades and processionals throughout the park, allowing guests to take socially-distanced selfies and videos of their favorite characters.

Here we see Jasmine, Ariel, the Fairy Godmother, Cinderella, Tiana, and Aurora all dressed in their princess regalia. From the ground, guests wave and salute their favorite princesses.

While we may not be able to meet-and-greet with the princesses one-on-one right now, this is a clever and fun way to still spread that Disney magic we all know and love. Check out the video from WDWNT embedded below for a better look at the experience.

Announced as part of the park reopening entertainment are five differently themed character experiences:

  • The Royal Princess Processional
  • Mickey & Friends Cavalcade
  • Fantasyland Friends Cavalcade
  • A Goofy Cavalcade
  • Tinker Bell & the Lost Treasure

We hope these images back at the Magic Kingdom bring an extra dose of magic to your day! Stay tuned as we cover even more reopening previews at Walt Disney World, as well as the official reopenings later this week.

Country Bears Found Greeting Guests From Atop The Jamboree Theater

Welcome back to the Magic Kingdom! It is cast member previews today, and we have been busy familiarizing ourselves with the new park protocols amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, ready for the park’s official reopening on Saturday. Attraction procedures aren’t the only things which have had to be adjusted, but character meet and greets are now operating differently, too. Earlier this morning, the Princesses were spotted welcoming guests to the park from the Main Street Station, and now, over in Frontierland, the Country Bears are greeting guests from a similar perspective.

They have been stationed away from guests up on this balcony in order to adhere to social distancing rules, which will keep guests, characters, and cast members safe.

The bears are greeting guests from a balcony above the Country Bear Jamboree theatre in Frontierland. Usually, these two would roam through the land greeting guests casually, but it is good to see that they still have a fun presence, albeit above the guests.

Don’t forget to wave hello to the Country Bears on your next visit through Frontierland!

“Tinker Bell & the Lost Treasure” Cavalcade Makes its Debut at the Magic Kingdom

As a way to continue character experiences throughout the theme parks and still able to keep spreading their magic without spreading germs, new park reopening entertainment has debuted the Magic Kingdom in the form of Character Cavalcades. Taking place throughout the day, Guests will be able to view the five different themed cavalcades:

  • The Royal Princess Processional
  • Mickey & Friends Cavalcade
  • Fantasyland Friends Cavalcade
  • A Goofy Cavalcade
  • Tinker Bell & the Lost Treasure

The “Tinker Bell & the Lost Treasure” cavalcade is an adorable way to still see our favorite pixie as she makes her way around the Magic Kingdom. We managed to see her as she was heading into Frontierland.

Tinker Bell rides high atop a treasure chest in this spontaneous character experience.

This is such a nice way to still include characters in the park while still spreading Disney magic. To watch the entire “Tinker Bell & the Lost Treasure” cavalcade, check out the video below from wdwnt.com!
