I see what’s happening here. ABC has revealed that they are bringing back their “Wonderful World of Disney” programming schedule, and are set to show four Disney movies on their network each Wednesday, presented by Disney+. First up on the schedule will be the 2016 hit animated film “Moana”, set to make its network premiere tonight 20th at 8/7c, alongside a live Twitter conversation with some very special guests.
Not only is the movie airing, but viewers are asked to make way, make way for some very special guests to join the watch party along with them! Composer Lin Manuel Miranda and the voice of Moana herself – Auli’i Cravalho – will be live-tweeting throughout the Eastern-time broadcast of the movie, bringing true Moana magic right to where you are. “Special guests” are also set to appear, so get ready to consider those coconuts and sail away with the movie.
The other movies set to be shown are “Big Hero 6”, “Up”, and “Thor: The Dark World”. If you don’t have Disney+, make sure you don’t miss these broadcasts!
If you’re a fan of Auli’i Cravalho, did you check out her beautiful performance of “How Far I’ll Go” on the ABC Disney Family Singalong yet? And Lin-Manuel Miranda fans can catch him in the filmed production of “Hamilton”, which will be arriving on Disney+ this July.
As the world continues to face the ongoing health crisis, Disney Cruise Line recently announced that that they had extended their suspension of departures through July 28. Previously, departures had only been suspended through June 17. Now, guests are being offered an additional 25% cruise credit on their modified cruises.
Disney Cruise Line is reaching out to guests who were originally booked on a departure through July 28, 2020, and who moved or cancelled their sail date due to concerns about COVID-19. Since then, with the wellbeing of our Guests and team members as our top priority and in line with direction from health experts and government officials, we have cancelled these sailings.
For guests who modified their reservation and were on a Disney Magic sailing between July 3-26, Disney Cruise Line would now like to offer guests an additional future cruise credit equal to 25% of the original voyage fare to use toward the reservation they modified. Once the modified reservation is paid in full, any remaining future cruise credit will be applied to their shipboard account as a non-refundable onboard credit. If your circumstances have changed and you would now like to cancel your reservation, you may do so for a full refund of the original voyage fare paid. To take advantage of this offer, please contact a member of the Disney Cruise Line reservation team at 1-866-325-2112 or 407-566-3510. Guests requesting a refund should know that any refunds will be processed in the normal course of business, but may be delayed due to the high volume.
For guests who cancelled their reservation and were on a Disney Wonder sailing between July 1-28, a Disney Dream/Disney Fantasy sailing between June 19-28, or a Disney Magic sailing between July 3-26, Disney Cruise Line is automatically refunding any cancellation fees that may have been charged. This refund will be processed back to the original form of payment, but may be delayed due to the high volume.
The future cruise credit is equal to 25% of the original voyage fare and is only valid for sailings departing within 15 months of their original sailing. Your original reservation must be paid in full to be eligible for the future cruise credit. The future cruise credit is applied per person and is non-transferable, non-refundable and has no cash value. Standard prevailing rates apply and Guests are responsible for any balance due after the future cruise credit has been applied. If you end up not being able to use the future cruise credit, you will be eligible for a refund up to the amount of their original voyage fare. Standard cancellation policies and terms and conditions apply to future sailings. Guests who previously received a future cruise credit are not eligible for an additional future cruise credit.
In the past couple of weeks, Hong Kong Disneyland has been making preparations for reopening. Temperature screening tents and social distancing markers similar to those seen at Shanghai Disneyland were installed recently. But now, it appears Hong Kong Disneyland is imminently set to be the second Disney park to reopen! According to user HKDL of Fantasy on Twitter, a soft reopening for Cast Members is taking place from May 19th through 21st.
Reportedly, this soft opening began yesterday, with Cast Members likely testing procedures for social distancing that will be used once Hong Kong Disneyland reopens, including temperature checks for guests before entering the park. There’s been a slow return to operations at Hong Kong Disneyland, similar to Shanghai’s pre-reopening. Character dining returned at the Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel at the end of April, and reservations recently reopened for the Disney Explorer’s Lodge and Disney’s Hollywood Hotel on May 15th.

Where’s the best place to celebrate your birthday? Disney, of course! With the parks being closed, all of us Disney fans are trying to find magical ways to celebrate our birthdays right from home. Whether it’s your birthday or your “un-birthday” Dapper Dans is sending a little birthday song our way. Check out the video below as shared by DisneyParksBlog:
The Dapper Dans are here to help you sing “Happy Birthday” in the video below. This talented troupe from Disneyland park brought their voices together from their homes a few weeks back. It’s quite simple — they’ll sing the song, while you sing along and add the name of who you’re celebrating!
We hope you enjoy this special #VoicesFromHome moment:
