The Mandalorian – Season 3 Is In Pre-Production

If you need more Baby Yoda and Mando adventures in your life (and Ahsoka soon enough, too!), then get ready the make a jump to hyperspace, because Variety has confirmed that Season 3 of “The Mandalorian” is already in pre-production.

According to Variety, the initial phases of the series––writing and creating artwork and concepts––are now well underway:

Sources close to the production have confirmed that creator Jon Favreau has been “writing season 3 for a while,” and that the art department, led by Lucasfilm vice president and executive creative director Doug Chiang, has been creating concepts for Season 3 “for the past few weeks.”

“We’ve just started pre-production and are looking into further adventures for the Mandalorian in Season 3,” revealed one source.

In addition, another source with knowledge of the situation confirmed that the production design department began working on season 3 on April 20, pointing to the fact the department requires “such a huge lead time” to explain why “the gears have started grinding really early on.”

Season 2 of the ultra-popular Star Wars series on Disney+ is set to premiere this October.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis Says That WDW is “Far Ahead Of The Curve” With Reopening

With Governor Ron DeSantis’ Re-Open Florida Task Force Executive Committee now fully assembled, it seems the governor is already in talks with Walt Disney World executives in order to spearhead a plan for reopening businesses across Florida.

Just yesterday, it was announced that the President of Walt Disney World Resort Josh D’Amaro would be joining other executives from top Florida businesses like Universal Orlando, Publix, and Florida Power & Light, along with government officials from Miami, Broward, and Palm Beach County in the Task Force. In an interview with Fox News this morning, DeSantis emphasized Disney’s readiness in face of the health crisis:

In the video clip, DeSantis states the following:

“It’s amazing the ideas that the businesses are already thinking about. They’ve been thinking deeply about this for weeks and weeks… there’s a lot of great ideas that I’ve already seen put on the table. I’m in discussions with places like Disney. They are so far ahead of the curve, and I think everyone wants to make sure we do it safely.

And yeah, if you think about it, if you own a hotel in Miami, the last thing you want is to do a false negative and have a small outbreak in your hotel… so they are very keen on safety and I think that they’re going to be leading the way on the innovation. So we’ll have some guidelines of course, but I think some of the businesses are going to go above and beyond…”

The governor seemed fairly impressed with Disney’s plans for moving forward. As it stands, Disney has already been implementing extensive health screenings and social distancing protocols within the partially-reopened Shanghai Disney Resort, so having a venue to test these new guidelines and garner feedback may prove to be useful when it comes to moving forward with reopening the other parks.

16 Yr Old Breaks Into Tokyo Disney Resort’s Ikspiari Shopping Center

While the Tokyo Disney Resort remains closed through at least mid-May, Guests are able to enter the first floor of the Ikspiari shopping center for three essential local businesses – a dentist, pharmacy, and grocery store. Most stores and restaurants on the first floor, as well as the entirety of the three other floors, remain closed. It seems that didn’t stop a local 16-year-old from getting in, however.

According to TBS News, the boy broke in on April 21st, at around 3:30pm. He was visiting the Maihama area along with a group of other boys, according to police. It’s unknown whether charges were filed or an arrest was made against the boy.  But police have heard that boys on a nearby beach had more knowledge on the situation.

27 Yr Old With Spina Bifida Sues Disney Over Frozen Ever After Attraction

The intensity of the various attractions featured across Walt Disney World can vary from person-to-person, depending on their prior exposure to attractions, any existing medical conditions, or even what you had to eat or drink that day. You should always pay attention to any warning signs or inquire with Guest Relations regarding any rides you should skip, or precautions you should take. While some attractions may seem like gentle dark rides, when it comes to rides like Pirates of the Caribbean and Frozen Ever After, unexpected drops may have serious consequences for those who aren’t prepared for them, as described in one of the latest lawsuits to hit Disney.

According to Gabrielle Russon of the Orlando Sentinel, a 27-year-old Chicago-area woman is suing Disney after riding Frozen Ever After in the Norway Pavilion at EPCOT. Amanda Peters, who uses a wheelchair and has spina bifida, made sure to check in with Cast Members before riding the attraction on January 12, but was assured that the ride was gentle and only featured a “small dip.”

If you look at the verbiage used on the attraction’s landing page within the Walt Disney World website, it lists the attraction as a dark slow ride with a “small drop.” Peters had undergone brain surgery six weeks prior to her trip, but was given clearance by her doctor to travel so long as she avoided anything intense and opted for only slow-moving rides like “it’s a small world.” The lawsuit alleges that the online ride descriptions misinformed the family, and that Cast Members were not properly trained.

The ride’s drop led to Peters experiencing a “violent backlash”, hitting her head on the seat and causing mental fog with slurred speech and neck pain. Her family has scheduled an MRI to understand the full extent of the potential damage.

Peters is seeking over $30,000 in damages within the Orange County Circuit Court. Disney has stated that it will “respond to the allegations, as appropriate, in court.”
