Regal Eagle To Open This Weekend

It appears that Regal Eagle Smokehouse opening will take place this weekend over in Epcot.

This new quick-service location at the America Pavilion in Epcot’s World Showcase is scheduled to open on Sunday, February 9th at 11:00 AM according to Google.

This new restaurant features the one and only Same the Eagle and will serve up a variety of classic backyard barbecue selections from across the country.

Here guests will partake in “Sam’s Centennial Cook-Off: A Salute to All Cook-Offs but Mostly Barbecue”.

The menu will feature a variety of barbecue styles and entrees such as:

American Platter – a selection of 3 meats served with Garlic Toast
Kansas City Smoked Half-Chicken – slow-smoked half chicken smothered with sweet BBQ sauce and choice of side
Sliced Texas Beef Brisket Sandwich – rubbed with Brisket Rub then slow-smoked and smothered in Spicy Mop Sauce, sandwiched between Garlic Toast and served with choice of side
Power Greens Salad – Mixed Greens tossed with Fresh Citrus Fruit, Sunflower Seeds, Dried Cranberries, and radishes in a fresh citrus vinaigrette topped with chilled pulled chicken

Memphis Dry-Rub Pork Ribs – dry-rubbed and slow-smoked served with garlic toast and choice of side
BBQ Burger – 1/3 lb Angus Burger on Garlic Toast topped with BBQ Pork and Fried Onion Ring, served with choice of side
North Carolina Chopped Smoked Pork Butt Platter – chopped pork butt topped with North Carolina Vinegar Sauce, served with Garlic Toast and choice of side
South Carolina Smoked Sausage Sandwich – Smoked sausage on Garlic Toast topped with Tangy Mustard Sauce and Caramelized Onions served with choice of side

Castaway Cay 5K Package Now Available

For all of you walkers and runners out there wanting to participate in Disney Cruise Line’s Castaway Cay 5K, there is a new option available to book during your Online Check-In. Previously we brought you the news that Disney Cruise Line guests could sign up for the 5K ahead of time online before their sailing (previously this had to be done once onboard). While the Castaway Cay 5K is a complimentary activity, Disney is now offering a Castaway Cay 5K Premium Package at an additional cost.

At the end of the Disney Castaway Cay 5K all finishers receive an exclusive Disney Cruise Line Castaway Cay 5K medal. BUT, all participants who have booked the Castaway Cay 5K Premium Package will also receive an online exclusive Disney Castaway Cay 5K cinch sack, water bottle and hat. The premium package merchandise will be delivered to your stateroom on the second day of your voyage so you have it in time for the event. The cost for the Castaway Cay 5K Premium Package is $59.99 per adult.

What to Expect

You will be required to sign a release waiver to participate. Once signed, you’ll receive a Castaway Cay 5K race bib and will be asked to review the 5K course during your cruise. Please be sure to check the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app for more information, including specific times and location information.
On race day, meet on Disney Castaway Cay at the bike rentals location approximately 20 minutes after the ship docks. Your leader will escort you to the starting line.
Begin your 5K challenge, following the markers and directions provided by Crew Members. Keep in mind, this is not a timed event.
Complete your race and celebrate with an exclusive Disney Cruise Line Castaway Cay 5K medal.
Your Castaway Cay 5K exclusive merchandise package will be delivered to you on the second day of your voyage.

Apple Maps Now Has 3D Models of Disney Parks

If you have an iPhone, make sure to update your Apple Maps app to get a closer look at Disney Parks.

You can also view Disneyland Resort in California in 3D.

To view the 3D models, drag two fingers up while looking at a location. It’s not a very useful feature, but it’s kind of cool to look at. When you’re away from the parks, try scrolling through the 3D models. Maybe you’ll catch a whiff of a turkey leg!

If Google Maps is more your thing, you can take a walk right down the middle of Main Street, U.S.A. right on your phone.

Marvel Tv Series Gets Its Commercial During The Super Bowl

What an awesome time to be a Marvel fan! Disney+ just ran a preview during the Super Bowl game of all of the incredible Marvel projects coming to the streaming network and we’ve never been more excited.

Let’s take a look:

The Falcon and the Winter Solider

Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan, reprise their roles in ’ ”The Falcon and The Winter Soldier,” which finds Falcon and the Winter Soldier teaming up after “Avengers: Endgame.” Emily VanCamp will also return to her role as Sharon Carter. Rounding out the cast is Wyatt Russell who will play John Walker—a character from the comics coming to the screen for the first time. “The Falcon and The Winter Soldier” will launch on Disney+ in Fall 2020.

WandaVision

Does this show look awesome or what!? For us, the WandaVision segments were the standout moments of the clip above and have us really excited for the show which is set to debut on Disney+ in the Spring of 2021. During D23 last August, Randall Park, playing the role of Jimmy Woo called the upcoming show “something totally fresh and weird!” Kevin Feige echoed this last year saying that the concept would only work as a series and not a movie. Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany will be back in their roles as Scarlet Witch and Vision and it’s even been said that Kat Dennings will be reprising her role as Darcy from Thor in the series!

Loki

Earlier this week we announced that pre-production had already started on the Disney+ series Loki which will see Tom Hiddleston resuming his role as the title character. Disney and Marvel are being tight-lipped about plot details for the series but it’s expected to follow the incarnation of Loki from the alternate 2012 timeline that escaped with the Tesseract during the events of Avengers: Endgame. Time travel is expected to factor heavily in the series with the Asgardian God of Mischief visiting key historical events throughout the MCU. It a was also announced this week that Owen Wilson has signed on for (an as yet unnamed) role in the series.
