Disney Cruise Line to Celebrate Return of Marvel Day At Sea

Alright Disney Cruise Liners… it’s time to assemble! Marvel Day at Sea has sail dates for 2020, but we are happy to share that it is returning in 2021! Check out details and select sail dates for 2021 below from DisneyParksBlog:

The first Marvel Day at Sea cruise of 2020 sets sail aboard the Disney Magic today! And let me just say – there is no other way to describe this special event at sea other than epic! These select sailings out of Miami feature one heroic day filled with encounters with some of your favorite Marvel Super Heroes, action-packed entertainment and Marvel-themed activities designed for the whole family to enjoy.

And while we’re celebrating the start of these epic cruise vacations, we have even more news to share – I’m excited to announce that Marvel Day at Sea will return to Disney Cruise Line in 2021! Once again, you’ll have the chance to experience the largest assembly of Marvel Super Heroes and Villains on one ship, all while enjoying the joys of ocean cruising, stops in a variety of tropical locales and – of course – a healthy dose of Disney magic along the way!

2021 Itineraries: Marvel Day at Sea

Beginning Jan. 9, 2021, Marvel Day at Sea will take place on nine five-night Caribbean and Bahamian cruises sailing from Miami.

Departing Jan. 9, Jan. 23, Feb. 20, 2021, the Western Caribbean itinerary includes a stop at Cozumel, Mexico and Disney’s private island in the Bahamas, Castaway Cay.

Departing Feb. 6 and March 6, 2021, the Western Caribbean itinerary includes Georgetown, Grand Cayman and Castaway Cay.

Departing Jan. 18, Feb. 1, Feb. 15 and March 1, 2021, the Bahamian itinerary includes Key West, Nassau and Castaway Cay.

2020 Olympic Swimmer Caroline Marks Takes On The Surf Pool @ Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon

Ever feel like a pro when you get out on the water at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon? Well, thankfully we’ve never had to share the Surf Pool with an Olympic Surfer so our surfing ego can stay intact! Caroline Marks recently spent some time enjoying Typhoon Lagoon. Check out the details and video below from DisneyParksBlog:

Caroline Marks can’t stay away from the water for long! After earning her spot on the 2020 U.S, Olympic surf team, Caroline headed to Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon with her family for some fun in the sun. Her first stop during the visit was testing out Typhoon Lagoon’s state-of-the-art Surf Pool. Caroline also jumped on the newest Disney Water Parks attraction Miss Adventure Falls with her brothers. Make sure to follow Caroline during her road to the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, where she will compete in the first ever Olympic surf competition.

Earlier Opening Time At Hollywood Studios Extended

Disney’s Hollywood Studios has once again altered its operating hours. Now through January 26, 2020, the park will open at 7:00 AM, which is a change from the scheduled 8:00 AM openings.

January 2020

  • January 21-23: Park hours extended to 7 AM (Previously 8 AM)

Morning Extra Magic Hours have been shifted to the evening in January as well, with these occurring on January 12, 19, and 26. Extra Magic Hours are from 8 PM to 10 PM and are for registered guests staying at participating Walt Disney World Resort hotels and Official Walt Disney World Hotels.
