Baby Yoda Plush Coming Soon To Build-A-Bear Workshops

While Build-A-Bear Workshop has always offered a variety of Star Wars-inspired bears and even a few droids as part of their mix-and-match plush collection, soon guests at the popular stuffed toy workshop can create and cradle their very own child from “The Mandalorian”: Baby Yoda.

According to Business Insider, Build-A-Bear is responding to the viral Baby Yoda craze by developing their own stuffable youngling.

In a presentation today, Build-A-Bear CEO Sharon Price John said:

“I’m excited to share we will be one of the first companies to provide the digital and internet phenomenon who is trending higher than all the presidential candidates combined. We now will have The Child, also known as Baby Yoda.”

The company collaborated in partnership with Disney and Lucasfilm to develop the plush after the premiere of “The Mandalorian” in order to meet the growing demand for more adorable Baby Yoda merch. Their customer demographic is slowly seeing an increased trend of older consumers as more and more adult fans crave licensed merchandise and collectibles.

The new Baby Yoda plush is expected to hit Build-A-Bear Workshop locations nationwide in the coming months.

Disney Stocks Jump After Reports of Disney+ App Downloads

After a period of decline, stock of The Walt Disney Company rebounded today on reports of high Disney+ app downloads. At the time of writing, the stock of the media giant is up 1.6% to around $146.02 a share.

Downloads of the Disney+ app have neared 41 million after a very strong Q4, which saw more than 30 million downloads after launch on November 12, 2019. Disney+ grossed over $50 million in the first 30 days, which analysts saw as positive signs for the streaming service.

Progress Update On Walkway From Grand Floridian To Magic Kingdom

It’s probably going to be some time before we’ll be able to walk all the way from the Transportation and Ticket Center to the Magic Kingdom. Guests traveling from the Grand Floridian to the Magic Kingdom have only been able to the get to the park via monorail or boat transportation, but soon that will change. At this point in time, walking is not an option, unless you want to swim across the canal.

Thanks to the addition of a new swing-arm bridge, guests will soon be able to travel on foot to the park. This will be a great alternative when the monorails are down or the lines are long to leave the park. Let’s take a look at how the progress is coming along.

The bridge is already installed, but is still in the “open” position that allows the boats and barges, like the Electrical Water Pageant, to pass through.

Wooden framework is also being put together on the Grand Floridian side, too, as guests will need a boarding ramp for the bridge.

This pathway and bridge will be a nice addition to the area, and one that’s been needed for a while. There will most likely be a security booth set up somewhere along the way for guests that are walking from the resort, similar to the booth near the Contemporary Resort walkway.

2020 is off to an amazing start as guests gear up for an incredible list of anticipated openings: including City Works Eatery & Pour House, Ample Hills Creamery, Cirque du Soleil, and M&M’S. Disney has announced that Rustic Cuff—a boutique jewelry brand, will soon open a pop-up retail store at Disney Springs!

This new accessory destination specializes in beautiful statement cuffs with a focus on inspirational designs and personal connection. The brand will also feature a wide selection of beads, bangles, charm bracelets and colorful stackable accent pieces personalization options like names, monograms, and favorite quotes. “We couldn’t be more excited to be a part of this special resort location that echoes everything that inspires us to dream” said boutique founder, Jill Donovan.

The store is set to open for a limited time in the coming weeks and will be located across from Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar. The pop-up store is likely taking over the now-vacant space previously occupied by Erwin Pearl.
