Primeval Whirl To Reopen Temporarily This Month

Starting November 24th, 2019, Primeval Whirl will resume operation in the Hester and Chester’s Dino-Rama area of Dinoland U.S.A. at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, for a few days at least…

The attraction will only be open until December 1st, opening to handle higher crowds at the park due to the Thanksgiving holiday.

It would appear that Primeval Whirl will be able to come back from whatever issues have been keeping the attraction closed the past few months. It did open to guests for a few hours on a single day not too long ago. While closed over most of this time, Disney announced that the attraction would only operate seasonally, opening when needed and closing when not.

It’s expected that the Primeval Whirl will reopen again for Christmas week, but it has yet to be announced.

Construction Update on Room Refurbishments At All Star Music Resort

Room refurbishments have been underway at Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort for just over a year now, but with improvements finalized over on that side of the resort, work has begun on the guest rooms at Disney’s All-Star Music Resort.

Work is starting on Building 10 of the Calypso section, meaning the resort is down an entire section of Preferred Rooms.

Based on how All-Star Music is set up with no room buildings flanking the main lobby, this could mean your odds of getting a Preferred Room close to Intermission Food Court and the bus stops are slightly lower. Do keep in mind that parts of the Jazz section are also considered Preferred Rooms, so more and more Preferred Room guests may be getting funneled back that way out of lack of rooms in Calypso.

For the most part, however, the rooms are slated to look just like the ones at Disney’s All-Star Movies after the refurbishment, with clean white walls, updated coffee stations, a Mickey headboard, and Huey Dewey, and Louie art in rooms with pull-down murphy beds.

All rooms feature a huge flat-screen television, larger even than most older televisions at Deluxe Resorts that haven’t been refurbed yet. The televisions are placed on moving arm displays so you can tilt them to your preference.

Another important amenity that’s getting an upgrade with these refurbs is the hotel Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi at all refurbished resort hotels, like Disney’s All-Star Movies and Disney’s Port Orleans Resort, is far better and faster. This is because all of the wiring and fiber-optics get redone as part of the refurb.

New Limited Release Mickey and Minnie Christmas MagicBand

This brand new, forest green MagicBand features Mickey and Minnie admiring the latest Christmas decorations with a warm cup of cocoa.

A strand of red lights surround the center puck of the MagicBand, and separates the two scenes.

On the bottom half, we have Mickey and Minnie, all cozy and warm as they look on at the decorations on the other side of the band. With a cup of hot chocolate in hand and bundled up with scarves, the couple look positively full of holiday cheer.

On the other side, we see the Castle looking a bit more rustic with the red barn doors. It’s decorated with a wreath and star on top, as well as a reindeer weather vane on the top tower. Snowflakes flutter about as well on this half of the design.

New Classic Minnie Mouse Flower Hat Ear Headband Available

The latest ears mirror the newest hat that Minnie has been wearing in the new animated Mickey Mouse cartoons. This is the same animation style that will be featured in Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway.

This all-black sequin headband throws it back to more of the classic style of ears that we used to see in the Minnie headbands before a rainbow of sequins and designs took over. It’s also similar to the all-black sequin ears that came out earlier this year, though this features the addition of Minnie’s hat.

These classic Minnie Mouse hat ear headband costs $29.99.

New “Lady and The Tramp” Plush Doll

You’ll have a hard time looking as fabulous as Lady does in this new “Lady and the Tramp” plush. It seems the beloved Cocker Spaniel has grown out her long, luscious tail just in time for all of the holiday festivities.

The plush is covered in ultra-soft fur, with velvety inner ears and a collar with a golden faux leather tag.

The funny part is her excessively fuzzy, long tail, which can conveniently double as a boa.

The plush cost $29.99.
