While most MagicBands feature bright and colorful designs, sometimes you want something more subdued to wear as your key to the World. Just in at Walt Disney World is a new, all-white MagicBand featuring sketch-like park icon designs throughout. Let’s take a closer look!
Looking closer at the design, you see tiny, dainty sketches of park icons such as Cinderella Castle, the Tree of Life, the Hollywood Tower Hotel, and even Spaceship Earth. Surrounding the designs are tiny stars and sparkles.
Starting today, a performance by Mariachi Cobre, the fan-favorite “Story of Coco” show returns for a special three-day run in celebration of Día de los Muertos, or the traditional Day of the Dead at the Mexico Pavilion in EPCOT.
The Mexico Pavilion will honor its traditions and make Abuelita proud by bringing back the beloved puppet show featuring Miguel from Pixar’s “Coco” dancing along the traditional Mexican folkorico dancers.
“Mariachi Cobre Presents… The Story of Coco” will run from October 31st through November 2nd for Día de los Muertos. Showtimes for Mariachi Cobre can change, but the usual times are: 11:00 a.m., 11:45 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 1:15 p.m., 2:00 p.m., 3:30 p.m., and 4:15 p.m. As a reminder, the show was removed from the regular schedule of performances back in September due to Entertainment cuts.
Pull up a cauldron and grab your broomstick (or vacuum cleaner)! A sequel to Hocus Pocus is reportedly in development for Disney+, according to Collider‘s Jeff Sneider.
Jen D’Angelo (Workaholics, LA to Vegas, Happy Together) has been hired to pen the script for the film. Sneider also reported that D’Angelo has been given another task as well (and we’re not talking about sucking out the souls of all the children in Salem): getting the actresses behind the infamous Sanderson sisters, Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy, to reprise their roles in the sequel. None of them are currently signed to the project, but
isney is reportedly optimistic that they will return in some fashion. The project is still in the early stages, and it’s not yet known if Winifred, Sarah, and Mary Sanderson would be the main characters, or if they would “pass the torch” to a new class of witches.
While not initially a box office success on its release in 1993, Hocus Pocus has become a staple of the Halloween season, having repeated viewings on Freeform throughout the month of October, its own stage show at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Walt Disney World, and plenty of themed merchandise and food offerings. (And don’t you worry; the original film will be available to watch on Disney+ on launch day.)
This is far from Disney’s first attempt at revisiting Hocus Pocus; back in 2017, a remake of the film was reportedly in development for Disney Channel.
‘Tis the season for new holiday ear headbands and this one is properly themed to the holiday season with candy cane accents. This ear headband is very shiny thanks to all the sequins making up the design and definitely encapsulates the holiday spirit.
The ears are made to look like peppermint candies with the patterned use of sequins, and the shiny green bow completes the holiday color theme.
It may still be October, but Disney World is already cooking up Christmas. MouseGear at EPCOT has been stocking up on new holiday merchandise, including a light-up Christmas sweater, a candy cane Spirit Jersey, and now a cute pair of Minnie (and Mickey) ears!
