With more and more people creating content related to Disney Parks across all sorts of platforms, it’s no wonder everyone wants to get the latest scoop or come up with the best tips for their audience.
However, one content creator recently received a response quite different from what she would have expected on one of her videos.
Bethy Hamilton (@bethyhamilton) recently shared on TikTok a Disney World tip “no one wants to tell you because it’s that good.” In her video, she mentions how she always wants a snack at the end of the night and explains that Guests can place mobile orders at select locations to be picked up even after official Park closing hours, which is perfect for satisfying those late-night cravings.
You can watch the video down below:
And although this is acceptable and authorized by Disney, many viewers were surprisingly unhappy with this hack. Some commented that Bethy shouldn’t be posting this information, as Guests would take advantage and force Cast Members to work extra hours, while others shared that doing this was plain rude in their opinion. One Cast Member even mentioned that seeing the number of comments worried about Disney’s Cast Members warmed her heart.
However, Bethy and other Cast Members, both former and current, assured that Cast Members are already scheduled past closing and that, contrary to what many viewers initially thought, making use of this tip would not cause anyone to stay extra hours. Quite the contrary, it would allow Guests to enjoy an almost empty Park and a delicious snack to end their day.
With over 45 thousand views on this video, we’re sure more Guests will put this Disney World tip to the test, resting assured that Cast Members will not have to work extra hours to accommodate Guests’ late-night cravings.

Last week, an incident took place at EPCOT, which resulted in one Guest needing serious medical attention.
The incident took place on Wednesday, March 2. “We were looking at the flower and garden kiosk in front of the American pavilion walkway and a man pushed between my son and another woman,” Jennifer K. told Inside the Magic. “The two of them collided and they both rolled over each other.”
Jennifer said the woman’s phone and food flew out of her hand and her head hit the pavement directly, but what shocked many is that after the altercation, the man got up off the floor and walked away while the older woman was lying on the floor with her hands on her head not moving.
Guests surrounded the woman as they called for medical attention. Luckily, Jennifer told Inside the Magic that she was informed by a Cast Member the older woman was taken to the hospital and is in stable condition.
The theme parks have been very crowded as of late as more families are eager to get out and travel again after the ongoing pandemic shut down the world in 2020, including the Disney Parks for a few months. Now, with more families taking vacations to Walt Disney World, and many Guests utilizing their phones for things like Mobile Order, My Disney Experience, Disney Genie, and Lightning Lane, Jennifer told Inside the Magic she is concerned for the future of the Parks.
“So many people are on their phones between Genie+, mobile ordering….It scares me for the future of the park as more and more things become reliant on mobile apps,” she said.
You can see just how busy EPCOT was on March 2 in the photo below, which was taken by Jennifer of the Living With the Land line.
Please note that Disney Cast Members and security officials are always at the theme parks in order to maintain a safe environment as much as possible. If you ever witness activity such as a fight or anything of this nature, or if you are ever concerned when visiting one of the Disney Parks, be sure to find the nearest Cast Member or report your issue with Guest Relations, located in each of the Disney Parks.
On December 8, Disney’s newest planning tool, Disney Genie, launched at Disneyland Resort, along with the new paid-for Lightning Lane service, Disney Genie+. Unfortunately, due to a massive cloud server outage, the launch was anything but smooth, and Guests who purchased Disney Genie+ found themselves unable to do things like book ride passes, access their already booked passes, and mobile order. The outage caused app issues for a couple of days, but now it looks like things have settled down and things are running relatively smoothly at the Happiest Place on Earth.
When Disney announced Disney Genie+, they also shared that some of the most popular rides at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World would not be a part of Genie+. These rides would be called individual attraction selections, and Guests would have to pay an additional fee to access the Lightning Lane. At Disneyland Resort, those rides are Rise of the Resistance, WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure, and Radiator Springs Racers, and the fees that Guests would pay would depend on the time of year and even the day of the week.
A lot of Guests voiced their discontent at having to pay not only for Disney Genie+ but then also having to pay even more if they wanted to get to the front of some of the most popular rides. Rise of the Resistance could cost upwards of $20 per Guest for front-of-the-line access on busy days, and some were shocked to see that high price tag. However, it seems that the shock wore off quickly and a lot of Guests decided that the price tag was worth skipping the line.
According to Instagrammer Gothic Rosie, individual attraction selection passes for Rise of the Resistance sold out in a matter of hours on Saturday, December 11.
It is important for Disneyland Guests to remember that individual attraction selection prices will vary, so it is important to check the Disneyland app for the most up-to-date information on the rides, as well as Disney Genie and Genie+.
